45 cubic meters of firewood for a temporary shelter in Brody

📌 After the full-scale war began, about 60 people from combat zones found refuge at the “Regional Center for Social Adaptation" in Brody. The center’s director and founder, Mr. Ihor Hnat, single-handedly searches for resources, as the institution receives no government funding. This winter, the shortage of heating materials became critical — there was an urgent lack of firewood to last through February.

Our NGO addressed this need through the project “Local Humanitarian Response Initiatives: Taiwan relief supplies to Ukraine_LHRI_Taiwan”, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Thanks to the team’s efforts, the shelter received the necessary firewood on time, allowing its residents to welcome spring in warmth.

🛏 In times of war, the feeling of safety becomes a luxury—especially for elderly Ukrainians who have lost their homes. A cozy room, a spacious bed, warm meals, and peace outside the window—these are vital for internally displaced persons. We are grateful that, with donor support, we can continue providing shelters with essential resources.
