Developing a Joint Action Plan to Enhance the Effectiveness of Combating Illegal Logging
Illegal logging remains one of the most pressing environmental issues in Ukraine. This is driven both by legislative gaps and weak law enforcement practices, particularly in connection with Russian aggression. To create a space for developing effective solutions to strengthen the fight against this problem in Ukraine, NGO ForestCom, with the support of the State Forest Resources Agency, is organizing a strategic online meeting “Developing a Joint Action Plan to Improve the Effectiveness of Combating Illegal Logging and the Circulation of Illegally Harvested Timber.”
The aim of the roundtable is to collectively develop and agree on proposals that will unite the efforts of government bodies, experts, and civil society to systematically address the issue of illegal logging and the circulation of illegally harvested timber through relevant legislative changes.
