Tetyana Pyvovar
Tetiana, a distinguished forestry analyst at ForestCom since 2022, earned her degree from the Faculty of Biology at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in 2002. Holding a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences since 2007 and the title of Senior Researcher since 2012, she brings over two decades of scientific experience to her role. Tetiana's expertise encompasses monitoring forest conditions and inventory using sample-based methods and assessing forest vulnerability to climate change.
Currently serving as a Senior Researcher in the Department of Forest Inventory, Monitoring, Certification, and Forest Management at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Forestry and Forest Melioration, named after H.M. Vysotsky, she has also made valuable contributions to the Institute of Forest Ecosystem Research (IFER, Czech Republic) in 2022. Tetiana actively engages in international research projects, including the International Co-operative Programme on Assessment and Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects on Forests (ICP Forests), Forest Health Monitoring, and the Czech-Ukrainian project "Techinlis" (2004-2007). Additionally, she has played a role in climate change-related projects, such as the assessment of drought impact on forest ecosystems (Global Water Partnership) in 2014-2015 and Clima East in 2016.
Fluent in English, Tetiana has presented her research at numerous conferences and seminars, including international events, and has authored over 80 scientific papers. Her extensive and diverse contributions underscore her significant impact on the field of forestry and environmental research within ForestCom.
